Lemonade Day Indianapolis.

When I started seeking internships this summer, being out of an MBA school I was focusing more on traditional MBA subject areas like, ‘Investment banking’, ‘Corporate strategies’, ‘Equity research’, etc. Then I came across, ‘Lemonade day’ and I instantly fell in love with such a beautiful, yet simple idea.
Lemonade Day brings to life the great American Dream of prospering through hard work and ability. Lemonade day prepares youth for life through a proactive and experiential program infused with life skills, character education and entrepreneurship. On first Sunday of May, school kids under the guidance of their adult guides build their lemonade stands on a Location/Place of their choice, to sell a lemonade flavor -the Product of their choice. They Price it according to their locality and their sense of profit and then Promote it using new fascinating ideas. Recently in Houston two kids built a stand in the shape of an elephant trunk which could be used by the customers for a quick shower too. What a unique idea on a summer day to cool off with a Lemonade and Shower from a trunk. OMG!… I can see the 4P’s popping out right there. The marketing folks know what I mean.
😉
Only if we had the Lemonade day during my times I wouldn’t be wandering in a MBA school not knowing how to kick start this summer. With just a week of being involved with this program, I already feel being a part of something revolutionary. We stand to directly impact the future of America, bringing together families, corporations, generous individuals and organizations.
